The OptoFlat interferometer uses low-coherence interference principles, allowing for easy measurement of flat shapes without being affected by the back surface. Thanks to the LED light source, measurements can be taken immediately upon powering on, and the alignment assistance mechanism makes it easy to operate even for first-time users, making it a practical tool right away. It can be used for a wide range of applications, not only for optical components but also for metal, ceramic parts, and flat surfaces of molds. ■ Reduction of back surface reflection (back surface cancellation thickness of 0.3mm or more) In laser interferometers, when measuring parallel plane samples, the reflection wavefront from the back surface can interfere with the reflection wavefront from the front surface, making measurements difficult. However, with the low-coherence interference principle, it is possible to suppress interference from the back surface by limiting coherence over a short range, resulting in interference fringes generated solely from the front surface. ■ User-friendly for on-site use With the alignment assistance mechanism, even first-time users can easily perform measurements. Additionally, automatic light intensity adjustment eliminates the need to change reference plates for workpieces with significantly different reflectivity. Furthermore, analysis can be started with a non-contact sensor without touching the mouse, eliminating concerns about vibrations caused by operation.
